Botox - a Personalized Approach to Rejuvenation

Botulinum, commonly known as Botox, is a purified protein that works by temporarily relaxing the muscles responsible for expression lines. This results in smoother skin and a reduction in the appearance of wrinkles, particularly around the forehead, eyes, and mouth.

Botulinum or botox can address various facial and neck concerns, including:

• Forehead lines
• Frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines)
• Eyebrow lift
• Crow’s feet (lines around the eyes)
• Bunny lines (lines on the nose)
• Chin dimpling
• Neck bands (platysmal bands)

Results typically begin to appear within 3-5 days, with full effects visible after about 10-14 days. The results last around 3-4 months, after which a touch-up may be required.

We recommend avoiding strenuous exercise, alcohol, and lying down for at least 4-6 hours post-treatment. You should also refrain from massaging the treated areas to avoid dispersing the botox.

Some patients may experience minor swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection site, which typically subsides within a few hours to days. Serious side effects are rare but will be discussed during your consultation.

Botulinum or botox is not recommended for individuals who are:

• Pregnant or breastfeeding
• Suffering from neuromuscular disorders (e.g., ALS, Myasthenia Gravis)
• Allergic to botulinum toxin or its components
• Currently experiencing skin infections at the treatment site
