Gentle Aging: working with age, not against it
At The Retreat, regenerative aesthetics and longevity medicine live under one roof. We understand ageing as a whole, at cell level, visible on the skin and felt in everyday life, and we work with evidence-based methods and modern technology to support the body’s own regeneration.
Gentle Aging is not a promise to us but an attitude: to slow the pace of ageing without losing what is natural. Beauty, for us, comes from balance: from cell health, inner stability and a clear awareness of one’s own body. Longevity, for us, means not only living longer but living better.
In a calm, deliberately designed atmosphere, medicine, aesthetics and mindfulness come together.

Dr. med. univ. Maria-Theresa Thiede is the medical director of The Retreat. Her focus is regenerative aesthetic medicine: non-invasive skin tightening, injectable treatments and regenerative methods.
Her approach joins modern aesthetics with the science of a healthy, long life.
Aleksandra Piasecka

For Aleksandra Piasecka, beautiful results grow from a deep understanding: of the skin, its anatomy and your individual needs. Every treatment therefore begins with a precise analysis.
From that she develops an individual treatment plan: from skin health and skin quality, through minimally invasive aesthetic treatments, to ultrasound-based assessment of earlier treatments.
Her aim is to achieve, together with you, natural results that bring skin health and regenerative aesthetics into lasting balance.
Nele Ostermann
Head of cosmetics

Nele Ostermann heads the cosmetic side of the practice: regenerative facials, skin analysis and the Kobido face-lift massage.
Her treatments support the skin’s natural regeneration and are tailored to the skin and the person.

Our approach
Understand first, treat second
Most people arrive knowing exactly what bothers them, but not which treatment fits. So every treatment here begins with a medical assessment, not with a selection from a list, even when you arrive with a firm wish.
Sometimes that conversation leads to a treatment, sometimes to an appointment a few months later, sometimes to the advice that, medically, nothing needs doing. All three are fine by us.
What always applies
- Medical treatments are carried out by one of our physicians. Cosmetic treatments take place under physician supervision.
- We use EU-approved original products only, and we record what was used and when.
- On request, a skin analysis with the Observ 520 complements the first consultation. It shows pigment and vessels the eye cannot see.
What we do not do
- No treatment without a prior medical examination. That holds even if you already know the product you want.
- We do not show before-and-after images. Other people’s photographs say little about your result, and we follow German medical advertising law.
- We do not promise results. What is realistic and what is not is discussed before the treatment, limits and risks included.

Questions we hear often
What does regenerative mean?
Regenerative methods aim to stimulate the body’s own processes, collagen formation among them, rather than only adding volume. Whether and which method is right for you is a medical decision, not a menu choice.
I don’t know which treatment I need. Can I still come?
Yes, and most people don’t. Book the first consultation. We look at your skin and the overall picture and tell you what makes sense and what can wait. You can book the first consultation online or by phone.
Do I have to decide at the first consultation?
No. You receive a recommendation with process, costs and alternatives, and you decide afterwards, in your own time. If it fits, we can treat at the same appointment, but there is no need to.
I have been treated elsewhere before. Is that a problem?
No. We look at earlier treatments first, with ultrasound where fillers are involved, and take them into account in our recommendation. Tell us what was used and when, as far as you know.
